Privacy Notice (Privacy Policy)

Privacy Notice in Plain English (with legal language below):

  • Who is collecting your data?
    • FamilyChristianBookstore.net (Global Grafx Press if you sign up for a newsletter), a Google Analytics cookie (so we can see what is working and what isn’t on the site, and possibly so we can do some Google advertising in the future) and our Facebook’s pixel (so we can advertise Christian books on FB)
  • What data is being collected & what will you do with it?
    • When you visit my site, it’s whatever your browser sends over to Facebook and Google (see above). Both of these sites are GDPR compliant.
    • If you sign up for my membership site or newsletter, whatever info you put in the signup. You can unsubscribe from both of these anytime. We only want to be sharing our work with people who are excited to read it, so if you unsubscribe, we will go away.
  • What is the legal basis for processing the data?
    • If you sign up for our newsletter, it’s because you want emails from us.
    • If you visit my site, we’re assuming it’s because you love Christian books and hopefully want to read our work.
  • Will the data be shared with any third parties?
    • Facebook and Google. Both of these sites are GDPR compliant. We assume other search engines are indexing this site, and they may end up with your data as well. They’d better be GDPR compliant. There’s nothing we can do about other search engines tho. They do their thing.
  • How long will the data be stored for?
    • For Facebook and Google, it’s however long their cookies hold the data. Facebook is 180 days. Google is longer, but less specific. Both abide by GDPR  rules.
    • For our newsletter, you’re a member until you unsubscribe. Each author does keep CSVs of their subscribers on a hard drive and backup hard drive mainly for advertising purposes.  We don’t share this info.
  • What rights do you, the data subject, have and how can you enforce them?
    • Unsubscribe from our newsletter.  We really don’t want to communicate with people who don’t want to hear from us, so just unsubscribe if you get sick of our emails.
    • Don’t visit this website again if you don’t want to be cookied by Facebook and Google.
  • How can you raise a complaint?

Now for the legalese!
